Fight week 1 of 4

This weekend will be the first of a very busy competitive few weeks for the CBD based Melbourne Muay Thai gym firstly with the prep of Dynamite Muay Thai Promotions international event Dynamite NAKSOO YOKKAO Next Generation Melbourne – Female Fight  Tour -

Having to accommodate visas and all for the international fighters and with debut fighters stepping up to make some noise over the next few weeks giving the other pro fighters some well deserved RnR time means it will be hectic times for the already highly active fight family.

This weekend will see our Dynamite Muay Thai boy Moana make his professional Muay Thai debut at the Ultimate Promotions event ULTIMATE LEGENDS on the 29th of July at the West End Hotel – 47 Macintyre Road, Sunshine North, MELBOURNE.

Moana dubbed by Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee’s Head Coach, Kru Dennis as Moana ‘Sing Falang’ Sor. Nak Dee.  ”Sing” Meaning Lion in Thai, a revered fight name as it refers the fighter as never taking a back step and presenting to the opponent a fighter with a heart of a lion, “Falang” meaning Foreigner in Thai. A name like the Foreign Lion commands great respect amongst the Thais as a warrior.

As per Thai – style Muay Thai gym tradition, Moana  will adopt the gym’s surname ( Sor. Nak Dee) along with his newly earned fight name ‘Sing Falang’ and be privileged to adorn the green robe of Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee bearing the fight family banner covered in blessings from auspicious monks of Bangkok, Thailand.

Last but not least the Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee fighter Moana ‘Sing Falang’ will proudly wear the Dynamite male Muay Thai head dress. The famous orange Mongkon weighted in blessed cloths tied on by the above mentioned monks each time it is brought to the temple for the monks to chant matras evoking power, protection and strength for the bearer in battle.

The Mongkong has been worn all throughout Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore and most cities of Australia. It has had a significantly busy 4 and a half years since the club’s inception as the official Male head dress of Dynamite Muay Thai and the Sor. Nak Dee family. The Mongkok has a distinct signature to the Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee gym with the extensive blessings which Kru Dennis has blessed every time he steps foot in Thailand (Basically twice every 5-6 weeks) The material is off a renown Monk’s former robe at the famous Wat Bang Phra temple of Bangkok’s Nakhon Chai Si province.

The females of Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee fight family also have one specifically for them to wear which is equally weighted down in blessed cloths from the temples that has been worn extensively in the same countries, cities if not more due to the very active female contingent in Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee fight family.

Back to the event, the show kicks off 8pm sharp but the doors open 6:30pm for the early birds looking for a better view from the general entry area.
