Rise to Dynamite Naksoo (Dynamite Warrior)

Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee prides itself on the team’s saying “One Club, Many Strengths!” meaning team work makes the dream work.

Committed to traditional and competition Muay Thai, ring craft, technicality and fine tuning of the fight family’s individual skills whilst retaining a distinct and recognisable trait amongst all of  the fighters of Kru Dennis of Dynamite Muay Thai’s fighting wing of the club, ‘Sor. Nak Dee’ or Dynamite Warrior.

Proving to the newer generation of members and students wishing to become competitors or members simply looking for that edge that the training provides. The methods may be extreme in some cases and quite tame in others though through and through all the ideals are trialled, tested and constantly evolving to enhance the mark of excellence for the ones that progress through to become a Sor. Nak Dee fighter eventually going on to represent the gym, the City, the state and most cases the country on the international Dynamite Muay Thai event  held across Indonesia, Malaysia and now Australia from 2016.

99.9% of  Dynamite Sor. Nak Dee’s fight team have been trained from zero to fight prep in-house with no previous knowledge or experience. Beginning usually with a series of in-house competition experience held internally for ‘Dynamite members only’ concreting skills sets and diminishing fear of the ring as early as 3 months post joining the club. From here the fighter will learn teamwork, camaraderie and proven basics, effective for competitive Muay Thai fighting.

Named ‘DYNAFITE’ This competition is held approximately every 2-3 months for experience and whilst great for building confidence in and out of the ring, Kru Dennis and Dynamite Muay Thai utilise this as a talent search and an invitation to represent Team Sor. Nak Dee.

In other words Dynamite’s Dynafite was created to better prepare the Sor. Nak Dee up and comers for the ugly side prior to the bright lights and loud cheering crowds. We are talking grass roots to a new extreme. Starting with a fight regimen, minimum 6 kilogram final week weight cut and to compete modified Muay Thai rules 3 x 1.5 minute rounds, 3 x 2 minute rounds, 5 x 2 minute rounds and 4 man/4 women eliminator tournaments.

For the newer fighters who’ve yet to step into a real fight promotion, the novice will use shin pads, for the amateur contenders, no shin pads and or 5 x 2 minute rounds of hard sparring to make it as real as possible.

Fight photos to come, stay tuned…

Jun Sor. Nak Dee will be off to Thailand in a few months to prepare for his debut fight on premium Muay Thai event MAX MUAYTHAI FIGHT at MAX MUAY THAI Stadium in Pattaya Thailand.

Shower Infra-red Sauna Renovations

The last few weeks for Team Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee’s Head Coach, Caoch Lily and the fight team have been go, go go with endless sight of fights and fight prep still to come and all bunched in so close.

“With the past few weeks of fights and the preparation of the fighters for the upcoming fights it has been full steam ahead at the gym.”

Central City based fight gym Dynamite Muay Thai is heavily involved in the fight scene and not just in Melbourne. This weekend will see two Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee fighters fight in Chelsea Heights and another fighting in Kowloon province in Hong Kong, the following week we will have two Dynamite Sor. Nak Dee fighters flying up to Darwin to represent Victoria and on the same weekend have Dynamite Sor. Nak Dee Head Coach cornering for some MMA strikers in the prestigious IBC MMA championships in Jakarta, Indonesia all while the gym is under going renovations for 3 showers and then a infra red sauna on standby to be assembled.. Busy times :)

This being said Kru Dennis and Coach Lily have identified the necessity of the renovations and decided to go with the cutting edge advantage of the infra-red sauna. Work has commenced and now awaiting the final stages of completion before the sauna can be fully fitted. Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee being centrally located meant that this new line of sauna could be utilised by the public as well the fighters and members of Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee.

“The cost was a substantial difference but we will be ahead of all the other larger commercial gyms who are yet to be introduced to this cutting edge technology. We had the choice of opting for the conventional sauna / steam room or this which cuts straight into visceral fat at half the time.” Kru Dennis – Dynamite Head Coach.

Here is a sneak peak :)

Tum Qualifies for LION FIGHT!

Tum “Hollywood” will be off to fight at LION FIGHT Promotions in the United Sates as the Australian qualifier!!

(Tum Sityodtong pictured centre right in the red shorts from Sityodtong Gym represents Australia at the next LIOIN FIGHT promotions in the US)

Such a classy display of technical ability, ring craft and good old fashioned Tum humour in the ring. Tum fought against the Victorian Favourite Pat Richards to beat him in the first round of the elimination and followed on to face Sam ” The Shank” Hill who Qualified for Warrior’s Way from New Zealand.

For many, what seamed to be the two contending favourites to win the 65kg 4 man qualifier faced off as most possibly the fight of the night.

Date for the proposed LION FIGHT in the US to be confirmed.

Asia’s fight was a tough fight as expected though giving everything she had unfortunately Asia lost on points to the Australian number 2 ranked at 57kg.

Polish female fighter Asia Sor. Nak Dee, Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee’s newest member will go up against hard hitting ACT girl Pia Salgado of Pheonix Gym. Ranked number 2 in Australia, Pia will definitely bring a fight to Asia who has been difficult to match up for her previous fights here in Melbourne.

Asia Sor. Nak Dee who is on 10 fights for 8 win, 1 draw, 1 loss will face Pia on the 2nd of April as a 57kg female Super fight on the night.

Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee’s Thai affiliated gym Sityodtong has one hopeful for the 65kg 4 Man LION FIGHT qualifier in up and coming fighter Tum Sityodtong.

Tum, known as ” Hollywood ” has been drawn to fight in the first round elimination against Victorian favourite now based in Thailand Pat Richards.

(Tum Pictured centre on the right side of the LION FIGHT qualifier trophy wearing the green shirt. His opponent Pat sitting beside him wearing the baseball cap)

Both Tum and Asia made weight and ready to replenish for Warrior’s Way 15 at the Doncaster Shopping Town Hotel

Warriors Way 15

The Dynamite NAKSOO Muay Thai Fight – Asia Fight Tour’s good friend Mark Hammer’s event will see the talented fighters of Melbourne going live around the world on Warriors Way 15 with it’s new partnership LION FIGHT PROMOTIONS securing the connection between Australia –  United States joint affiliation. The event will see the winner the main event’s 4 man eliminator qualifying on the next LION FIGHT event in the United States.

Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee’s sole representative will be female fighter ‘Asia W Sor. Nak Dee’ at 57 kg against Australian Muay Thai Fighter Pia from ACT who is currently ranked at a vicious no.2 nationally.

Melbourne based Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee Fighter Asia W. Sor. Nak Dee originally from Poland, will represent Melbourne CBD, Victoria against a national favourite. Both girls with over 10 fights and finding it hard to find opponents willing to fight the full 5 rounds in FTR.

Unfortunately Dynamite teammate, Zia Seua Sor. Nak Dee could not get matched from anyone around the country under FTR for this fight but she will fight another day.

“We are finding very difficult to match Zia Seua, partly from her weight category of 48-50 Kg and partly due to her experience. Most girls that weight especially in Victoria won’t do FTR and I don’t want her to fight 3x 2minute round K1 or Mod Thai rules because the dynamics are completely different. It will not help her improve her Muay Thai game when we go to fight overseas against girls with triple her experience, we need to be challenging her. Most of her experience was in the deep end with FTR 5×2′s and Tournament or Super 4 Eliminator style otherwise she wouldn’t have had the 9 fights. It was all by chance and we were very lucky to have the opportunity. ” (Kru Dennis Dynamite Head Coach)

Pulling 7 fights for 7 wins

Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee Fighters pull the wins over the weekend!

The proud faces is evident on Kru Dennis and Coach Lily of Melbourne’s quiet little inner city Muay Thai fight gym Dynamite Muay Thai (Aka) Team Sor. Nak Dee

The teams overall performance was outstanding with the bonus of pulling off some crafty techniques and displaying a fine tune game of true Muay Thai which we call “Muay Chess” at the inter-gym fights tallying a total 7 fights for 7 wins!

“Muay Chess” as the name suggests is a technical focus of Muay Thai with its distinct characteristics that set it apart from other striking combat sports as well as other types of Muay Thai taught at Muay Thai gyms across the world as Kru Dennis is solely about the emphasis on the technicality of timing, range, catches and clinching. Although yes it sounds like the most common of things, it’s definitely not on the priority list of things that most Muay Thai gyms concentrate on or are experienced at.This is what makes Muay Thai a stand alone art separating it for many of the Martial Arts found in the region of South East Asia. Something that the Melbourne CBD based in gym prides itself on is the level of expertise and knowledge passed on to even the newest of competitors.

None of the members of Dynamite Muay Thai’s Sor. Nak Dee Fight Family pictured have been training for longer than 7 months but with such a rigorous training regime leading up the fighters were confident in their ability to out perform, out manoeuvre and outwit their competition. All in all a great display of Dynamite Muay Thai’s Sor. Nak Dee Fighting style and for the discipline of the team they were all rewarded with convincing wins against great up and comers.

DynaFite 2.0 In-house Fights Professional and Pro Amateur

After the recent success of the All Dynamite DynaFite 2k15 in late October last year the busy Melbourne CBD based traditional Muay Thai Fight Gym Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee hosted its second Dynamite in-house fight, DYNAFITE 2.0 Intraclub fights.

DynaFite 2.0 commenced with an opening ceremony by Dan ‘UK’ Sor. Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee’s second instalment of DynaFite was a bit of seriousness, a bit of competitiveness and a lot of fun pitting four in-house teams with captains and seconds to gain valuable experience in fighting from pro amateur level right through to professional with the likes of two titles being up for grabs on the day. One was a “Sweep Queen” title for the most sweeps in the gym and the other a Super 4 Women Eliminator fight with 4 fighters battling it out elimination style to claim the 50 kg female title within the gym. (Zia Sor. Nak Dee has the International Naksoo 50kg Super 4 Women title)

Besides the fighting side, the four teams have a captain and second assigned by Kru Dennis to assist in running a smooth fight prep. The skills learnt on the day derives from teamwork but evolves into many quality aspects of being part of the Dynamite Sor. Nak Dee Fight Family. The fighters will learn the correct procedures including a mandatory weigh -in and team “Fight prep” from getting the bucket and tape ready to oil down, taping of the hands, fight warm up, pre fight padwork and clinching to the drills the Dynamite Sor. Nak Dee team use at the professional level of fighting to assist them towards their fights and being prepped pre fight in these skills to eliminate all the extra burdens which consume the time of the fight team during fight time.

All DynaFite fights are judged and refereed for a real and authentic feel of 100% Muay Thai judging geared towards the idea of exposing the professional fight scene to the first timers. DynaFite had the fighters fighting along to the Thai music in 3x 1.5 minute rounds with 20 second break and 5x 1.5 minute rounds with 35 second break with the focus on pure Muay Thai techniques such as clinching, sweeping, dumping, knees etc rather than just a brawl or punches thrown in bunches.

The day proved highly successful in promoting the true essence of Muay Thai and the skill set necessary for the growth of the fighter and the brotherhood of the Dynamite fight team “Sor. Nak Dee” the inspiration for the fighters is to carry the surname of the gym upon entering the ring for their future fights as in Thailand this traditions carries weight amongst their peers and is an honourable right of passage for any true Muay Thai enthusiast.
